A maiden is what I am With the soul of an artist. Whose imagination runs wild Beyond the boundaries of time. I have courted some men Who have left me heartbroken And others who have asked for my hand. Which I gently declined. I have ambition and creativity, Therefore I know what I want. But I have never found it In any of these men. I have sometimes pondered Too high expectations Or am I searching for My soul mate in the wrong places. I believe that each of us Have a connection with one an other: That bond is the strongest, For it is our completion The only logical end to our search.  |
